Has anyone received email update from SST regarding their selection camp for Phase 2? Is it true that the candidates are supposed prep for a show and tell?

@revils_ling yes, is a 1 minute show and tell to present some examples of projects or activities that the kids has done. Don’t think last year have this. i am surprise to see this, and my son is totally unprepared as well… sigh…

@Verbena They may ask some questions in Chinese too.

@jojojoe When my son applied 2 years back, already had the show and tell segment. Last year when I went to SST to help out for teacher’s day, also saw many students who were there for Round 2 and based on the stuff they brought, it’s evident there’s show and tell last year too.

@jojojoe Thanks for your reply! Yes, I believe it’s a relatively new implementation based on the snippets of info I’ve read from the past years’ threads. Glad to know your son has been shortlisted for the camp. We haven’t heard anything yet from SST so far. There’s still some time before 3 Aug, so your son can try to prep something over the weekend? All the very best to him for the upcoming camp!

@revils_ling your son may be under phase 2 trial. FYI, i have twins and only received invitation for 1. SST replied me that they will post results the 2nd batch soon.

@hdbmummy thanks for sharing. we should have prep my son earlier. Now, we just hope that he can effectively demonstrate what he’s learned in class…

@jojojoe wow twins! 🩷 I think SST will usually arrange for kids from different schools to be group together for the camp. So since the boys are twins, the school has split them into different batches to better understand and assess them separately. May both your boys have wonderful experiences at SST!
