Wonderful ME time today...went to Isetan private sale. Made some good buys...then hid all the 'evidence' before hubby returned

keke, what did you buy?
I received the brochure too

Bought 'forever orange' blouses with 30% discount. Neoflam ceramic pans. Scholl flat shoes with 25% discount...furthermore new arrival :rahrah:

I have been using my Neoflam 30cm wokpan close to a year now. When it was very new, I had no problem frying eggs in them; the eggs would just slide off the pan onto the plate easily. After some usage, the eggs started to stick onto the pan. The pan has no scratches as I always use sponge to wash. Much later, when I feedback to a promoter at Taka, she just smiled a little and couldn't offer any reason. I think I'm not the only customer to say so.

What to do? I bought a Tefal frypan just to fry eggs now.

This is my personal experience. 😄

I think is due to the coating worn off (porous) by the chemical reaction from oil, the alternating of heat/cold cycle and the residue of detergent....

What I heard is, never flush in cold water immediately after frying, should allow the heat to subside to a closer temperature to our tap water before letting the pan come onto contact with water.... not sure if it's true though.

That is true. Rapid expansion and contraction cause micro cracks to surfaces.

Hmm.. one that races on with plots and suspense or gore and horror maybe.

What works for me ah. Either I shut everything out, retreat into my own world, with a good book or movie or TV series, or I cook up a storm or potter around my garden, or get really physical, swim, run, or DH's fav

Usually retreating takes me longer to emerge. But if I cook or garden or get physical, I overcome the blues faster. Maybe cos there is a sense of achievement at the end of all the activity.

The feeling is shiok...retail therapy is the most wonderful therapy for women.
I shop every week. But restrict to be out of the house only once on one of the weekdays and once on weekends otherwise will be too tiring. I'm very 宅 so mostly I prefer to be home.

I can shop for clothes very quickly. Went popular last Wed to use that 20% voucher. Walk pass Wanko, got 10 minutes to spare before fetching kids so use that time to grab a blouse. That's why Thu can't go Isetan, feeling tired already, energy quota reached 😉

i everyday wished to be as energetic as i was when Im 25. but too bad i am not. 🤷

maybe my mind still young but body is old....i lack exercise lah...need to find time to do it.

Hi bro,

I mean this as an optimistic statement
In terms of energy and health - how you feel today is better than how you will feel even a few years later. That is what you have now is the best of you.

The message is not about how it is going to go downhill from here. It is a reminder to cherish what you have now. it is about how to make it last far longer. It is about taking charge of what you have and make it work for you.

Today 2 strands of grey may be my worry, but tomorrow any hair on my head will be welcome. And later if hair is the only health issue I have, then I am blessed.

Hey bro, sleeping is not a waste of time. Too bad you cannot get pregnant. Sleep/nap is an absolute necessity especially when preggie. Sleep is required to recharge the body. Without sleep, how to sustain long term?

Sun_2010,
I totally agree with you especially the highlighted statement.
:goodpost: Sun_2010. agree. but if we can choose, we always want the best. lol.

SBKS,
Are you in your early 30s?
I wished also. Mid 30s liao.
ammonite:
I mean you will not find sleeping a waste of time anymore at a certain stage. Your body starts breaking down with insufficient sleep.
Luckily I have not met that yet. Maybe when that comes, i will not be able to miss any sleep liao. :scared:
janet_lee88:
Sleep is not a waste of time...it is a wonderful thing to do...because you will feel fully recharged after that. Sleeping is more important than eating.
actually my mentality is if no need to input or output or sleep, I get more time in my 24hours to do more things. lol. I know thats not possible. Machine running 24hrs can only last a few years.
