        :thankyou: Starlight,

Don't envy coz DH & I rationalize if we don't take long trips now, old cannot do alot. Then the awlful thing happened last week - my legs went jelly fr walking all the palaces fr Belvedere to Schonbrunn and Holfburg & all the Arts & History museums. 贪心 lor, die die must see the art pieces, the crown Treasury, .... after reached hotel saw some massive awlful veins on both legs. Scared the death out of me. Only 1st leg of trip - am I getting stroke, is my leg not going to last ... :gloomy:

Thankfully when I met my frd, the doc she brot me to diagnosed heatstroke. It was 29 deg & very dry. The heat closer North Pole no joke - high uv & biting. Had some cream & medicine. Seems OK. So thankful coz yday & today covered some alpine mountains. So lovely to be up 2700m (with help OG walking & cable car lah).

See more this part of nature before going back to reality.

Drink more water and stay in the shade (or wear a hat etc). People from warm tropics often forget about drinking water when in cooler, dryer places because we don't sweat as much. And since it's cooler and dryer, we also don't realise how hot we are getting. Take care and enjoy yourself!

finally moved in :rahrah: it feels great!

Janet88, Did you use any renovation for your new place?
Which renovating company/ painter etc to recommend?
I just bought a new place as well, so once all paperwork done, may need to look at renovation also.

I engaged an ID...he is responsible, workmanship is not bad, doesn't push for expensive materials and tries his best to keep within my budget.
engage an ID before paperwork is completed. planning a new place requires a lot of time and do prepare for changes when you see the actual place. the initial plan was sliding doors for kids' wardrobes but the space was insufficient and there was a recess area which I disliked...so I flushed the built in wardrobe, study table to the corner.

you can get a few quotes...but it's better to take a look at the actual work done.

I usually take evenings, about an hour or so after dinner, for ME time 🙂 That's when my kids are usually occupied with homework. I go for a nice jog or stroll (depending on how strong my legs feel that day) around my Simei neighbourhood.

However, when it rains, I tend to curl up on the sofa at home and indulge in a bit of online shopping. Qoo10 is my go-to site for this - I get stuff from clothes to food to electronics there. Anyone else care to share your favourite online shopping sites and what you buy from there? 🙂

it’s good to walk but do so moderately. going up the stairs and flat road…but when going downstairs, take the lift or escalator as it’s too straining on the knees.

shopping wise, I love to see the physical item.
