SL, do you put on make up?

      Nothing on my face 🙂

This is also another reason why I am shy to attend official functions with dh.

If that's what you prefer, what's there to be shy about? I am usually without makeup other than lipstick (and that's because it doubles as lip moisturiser which I need with all the aircon around). If I have evening functions, I might put on makeup, but I use very little - maybe a stroke of eyeshadow and a little blusher. My kids tell me I shouldn't bother because it can't be seen!

Like SL and Esteema, I don't buy branded items and dress simply (and cheaply!). I have a few \"good\" items which I wear to evening functions o rotation, and I don't care if people have seen them before. As long as I am not being disrespectful by dressing too badly (eg. flip-flops to a fancy dinner, or shorts to a wedding), I don't see that there's anything to be shy about. My haircuts are under $5. The main thing is to be happy in yourself.

I hope both yr children will lean on each other as they grow into adulthood & look out for each other. Yr son will make someone a good, responsible husband & father. :hi5:

he is very caring and sensitive towards my parents...I am very happy he knows how appreciate them because he knows how much they love him since he was born especially with his condition.

Come to think of it, I don’t wear high class clothes but am properly covered. I don’t look pretty but I take shower at least once a day. I don’t carry a branded handbag and my wallet has little cash but I hv means to buy many things.

There are indeed people who look down on some. It is fine as I don’t need to answer to those who look down on me.
we don't owe anyone a living...as long as we are happy and contended with ourselves, that's most important.

I don’t go for manicure/pedicure or facial sessions. Even when I was working. I do put on foundation and lipstick. I have never really perfected the art of using eyeliner.

Now that I am a homemaker, I still put on B.B. cream and tinted lip balm. I feel good when I look good.

The most remarkable part was she replied: you don’t know English? All are bbq chicken. Unprepared by such response, I humbly admitted that I didn’t study much and hence couldn’t understand ...
ST, nothing to do with your dressing, she was rude, that’s all.

But shouldn’t let dressing stop you from doing what you want to do. Do what you need to feel comfortable, experiment with different styles to find your own. Suitable make up is different at different age as the skin changes and makeup trends now steer towards natural healthy look. In any case, you swim daily so you probably have a natural healthy glow and don’t need much.

my fingers and toes are disastrous.
I still draw eye brows everyday and apply lipstick whenever I go out. hair is important...crowning glory mah.
haven't gone for facial for a long time.
nights, I put sleeping mask. I feel confident when I look presentable. dressing wise, not that fantastic...since I patronise supermarkets and nearby malls, but I would make an effort to wear long pants when I go to town.

my son ran into our room excitedly near bedtime...he received 3.9 for his GPA in the first semester exams.
