Now some letters seem to take a week or two to arrive ...

The recent case of the \"mail in the trashcan\" makes me wonder... maybe we have to check the bin for our latest news?

Our too leh. Grandma sews them for us out of leftover materials that she used for sewing our clothes. Our bolsters have 3 peaks as well. Think that was the trend then? But we don't suckle we niap the corners.

I still have the blankets that granma sewed for me when I was a young. My kids used them when they were younger. It's now in one of my cupboards. Who knows, when kiddos have their own kids they might use these blankets for their kids too.

Ahh... Now I know, maybe hor, could be a fashion back then. Chey, I thought mine was unique as my grandma likes to tease me, my bolster has “nei nei pok” because it has 3 peaks at both ends. :lol:

@StarL, pls help your DD to preserve her 19yo BB bolster. I regretted not doing it for my girls. As we age, such stuff do bring back fond childhood memories or help us remember someone special.

I remember when grandma was still around, we do remove the stuffing, wash the case and re-stuff it with new cotton stuffing. All our clothes, pillows, bolsters, blankets were made with love by grandma.

Was angry with dd yesterday, no eye see slept very early yesterday…this morning was thinking this is only part of growing up no need get so worked up also la…just enjoy the good and the not so good.

Just few days back, I ripped into DD at 11+pm as she was giving me attitude.

Next day, not only DD was on her best behaviour, DS as well.

Funz/TA, yalor…sometimes I really got so angry that the next day I have muscle pain…and to them nothing serious has happened…still hahaha…we angry and get white hair, not worth it la think abt it. Guess solution is I need to get into action, my fault also as they still young…cannot just tell them go study.


You are so right Funz, the younger one will get the msg and be more auto…get into car only tell me, mommy, I didn’t get all correct etc…the elder one, everything say ok but in fact not ok.

Kids if u treat them too nice, they turn around and abuse you. I rarely get angry these days. No point and no time for such nonsense. Normally I just serve them what they deserve.

When they’re young we ‘accuse’ them of climbing over our heads (authority). When they older & we’re silver haired & aged then can ‘accuse’ them of abuse lah (if they hv the heart to do to parents who raised them). JMO

Does leaving home and pursuing their passion to tour for months in faraway mountains when parents not mobile, counts as abuse/abandonment? Hmmm, my thots are getting muddled up coz I see one nephew not returning for almost a year when his mum so old & heart problem. No one taking care of her & she often hv fainting spells at home. Ocassionally, I’ve to remind DH to call.
