Envy you to have a date with your dh! It must be nice and relaxing yeah..btw, you cycle all the way there or car ferry bicycle there?[/quote]
We always go dating during off-peak when kid is in school heehee...

Threw the foldable bikes into the boot of the car then parked next to a PCN and start cycling...It varies which PCN we start from as we are exploring a lot of SG during our free time...we are scouting around to buy a future home next to PCN, then not so troublesome when we want to exercise. Traffic jam was bad along the way back cos everybody heading to work at 9-10am.

Yes we do that too. Old enough (and responsible enough) liao.

Btw recently DS gave my phone number to some friends that he wanted to stay in touch with, and they have been spamming my WhatsApp…I’m quite amused looking at their “conversations”…lots of bo liao stuff (“Sup, bro”, “Bruh”, “latest meme”)…I guess it will be a trial run before secondary school…I’m super reluctant to give him his own HP…wasting time & bad for eyesight too…

Yes I think not too bad. The younger one if given a choice think she would like to have one hp to her own but not the elder one coz she can chk her msg fm her laptop if I m using the hp…just last week the elder told the younger to quit from a new chat group when she accidentally clicked, went in and saw some msgs.

Just got to know a person looks around 70 plus minus cycle for at least 8km one way to work. Dunno her exact starting point so just use GPS to point to that town. I walk 1.5km one way to my frequent further supermarket..I m wondering if 8km 1 way cycling is a difficult task...compared to my walking I see doable but I usually go to that town by car using expressway and that person at this age

With a good bicycle (light and fast) 8km is no problem. Any uphill slopes are easily conquered with good gears. I find cycling less tiring than walking to be honest. I sweat less due to the constant wind blowing in my face.

But I sweat so much more after stopping! I don't mind cycling for leisure (not that I've done that for a long time), but I wouldn't use it for commuting or shopping in Singapore. I used to when I was a student overseas, and had the opposite problem for several months a year - too cold!
