You all share or you shoulder the cost? That will be alot of money!
Of course we share the costs.....everyone will pay $105.00. If I shoulder the costs, I believe even friends in this Forum will also want to join my dinner. 😂

The coordination takes a lot of efforts..so your contribution is very high.

This year since around mid year...spending like never before 😓 seriously I find myself abit abnormal..only lucky thing is I get discounted price items.
As long as you can afford it and have space to store it all! And remember to use them! I find having too many things a burden as I don't have much space, things get stuck in the back of cupboards or buried under other stuff, and I forget to use them. Then they grow old and spoil.

I've bought almost all the Christmas presents I need to get, thankfully. One daughter has made some suggestions, but the other hasn't. I think I 'owe' her presents for Christmas and birthday (in Jan) for several years already - I've lost count. And I don't get for my husband any more as neither of us can think of what to get.

The spending part I m not happy but I just feel that I like the leather etc..But it is ok la.. just think that some stuffs can be used for a long long time .
We bought a new recliner sofa set at Harvey Norman with its attractive offer. Yes, we don’t change these big ticket item all the time, so worthwhile.

I find as we grow older, we don’t ‘chase’ as many material things except when it’s necessary. DH nvr liked to receive “free-gifts” as it does clutter our lives & used fill up our cupboards very fast. We Nie either don’t take them or giveaway if we know MIL or other extended family members need them. But yes, also need to let go of some belongings. We often donate, giveaway or share them out. Even when we hv the space, it is easy to clutter & I try to do reflection whether we really need those items lying around. I try to keep everything behind cabinets/cupboards even the mixer I often use for baking.

This year received many ‘Christmas gifts’ long before 25th - KitchenAids, Meile oven & new compost bin. All my early Christmas toys. Will be busier!

Just baked a mascarpone filling chocolate cake for our Christmas gathering tmr. One of MIL’s favourite.

While talking abt shopping…it kinda hit me that K m starting to have liking on stuffs. It should be a good sign.

I roasted 3 blocks of meat yesterday…dinner didn’t cook and didn’t know dds have such good cooking skills that dh asked if they been watching YouTube on cooking.

I just bought earl grey tea and sausages…tomorrow earl grey cake and hopefully also sausage buns plus ‘smooth eggs’ horfun.

Am very careful and selective on what items go into my hse bec i hv very limited space for storage. Unless it is food as it will be consumed, else some items will need to go out before newer comes in.

Dh was surprised i didn’t know that tofu, seaweed, egg soup can be without meat. That was what i had when young. Dd1 cooked it and it was tasty and dd2 really surprised me by making egg rolls!
