Me Time!

The recipients must be very happy to receive gifts in wrapping papers. I must learn to be like you too…

What is the meaning of \"wind\"?
Congratulations to you!
The situations you indicated are external..am referring to internal.
We may have a wish coming true, maybe next year? Not sure tho but caught some 'wind'..continue to be hopeful

If it weren't for tradition and habit, I wouldn't wrap them! Wastes paper and time. But we have always wrapped presents to give the kids at family gatherings, so we continue to do that. At some point, I will start giving red packets instead (most of my sisters-in-law do already), but I do like looking at books and it's my way of introducing different books to a largely non-book-reading bunch. I'm known to be the only one who gives books, the one who only gives books! Although this time I have bought some card games for the primary school kids. I don't bother to wrap presents for my kids any more, but I do try to put some small items in their stockings - they still like having stockings even in their 20s! From now till 24 Dec, I'll be on the lookout for small items for the stockings. And if all else fails, they'll get a choc bar, hand cream, socks, hair ties...

I’ve dropped my Kobo and Kindle several times but they are quite hardy. The back tends to be heavier so it will land on the back rather than the front screen. Maybe she just happened to be unlucky landed on the screen side. The newer ones have a padded cover accessory u can buy? Like ipad cover to protect it.
Haiz she dropped it on the floor..maybe just happened to hit a weak point so many lines/cracks on the screen. I bought it during covid right..less than 6 mths I remember. -

I think that is nice. Keep them to read actual books.

Over time I have became so practical that dh needs to tell me in advance what he wanted to buy as my bday present and ended up always got rejected by me..so ended up I don't actually get bday presents from my dh these few years. Bad me. -

Mine quite sturdy. Dropped it few times already but still no scratch and dent unlike my samsung tab

Samsung tab feel cheap despite high price unlike ipad. If you were to buy samsung, make sure to invest in good sturdy case like casetify if dont want to get dents.
