Thanks esteema…and your side too…all healthy.

Yea that’s right…keeping ourselves calm is important. I have more white hairs from earlier of the year…mainly anxious and thanks to dh. He helped me seen through the issues. You know even when our own children keep asking us not to worry it cant seem to go into our brain. So we need a 3rd person at tell us. Yup after I put the burden down I m feeling much happier and the kids too.

Sometimes we feel that we know/could handle situations better but in fact not really true. We too looking forward…last paper will be next week. Yesterday after her paper, she told me worry some qns are tough to her…only them I knew I was so calm. Told her aiya never mind la so long as tried yr best already. Seeing dd1 trying her best I told myself I m happy enough. I just want to see her have passion in what she is doing.

Oh, that’s the BEST advice I’ve heard so far from a parent to a child! Yes, no pressure on them to do well coz so long as they hv passion in what they do, they’ll excel by their own yardstick. Nobody need tell them how far they’ll go. They’ll surely stretch themselves. I’m happy to see kids coming home fr exams coz that’s when I can see their expression & give them a hug or whip up sth they like to enjoy & chill before next paper or get them off their feet to relax after arduous papers.

Coz my dd (not sure if that is normal)...she can be totally switch off. She has her own opinion since young but I feel that she keeps trying to please me so she tried to listen to me and suppressing herself. So the best I guess is to let her be herself..

I asked someone to help me identify a good study place at home coz we were in such desperate situation... the mother and daughter had a tug a war period 😓 at the end daddy says let dd choose 😂

Actually the cashback with expiry date is quite a good design for merchants. Make people buy and buy. After I m using Lazada more, it is quite difficult to go to other platforms unless have specific items to buy. Especially feeling it when we know there will be away fm home time and it’s time to decide how much cashback to lose.

I wanted to buy more honey that is currently on good offer from Redmart but that is too much cashback to forgo later…good also can control impulse buying.

You may wanna drop by KKH website or in-person to find out more (local Asian view?) They have just (this very month) started a Menopause Centre - I saw it on the Ch8 news & got interested (am experiencing unusually heavy periods & was wondering if it’s peri-menopause).

                https://www.kkh.com.sg/patient-care/areas-of-care/womens-services/Pages/WHWC/menopause.aspx

                https://www.kkh.com.sg/news/announcements/kkh-launches-kk-menopause-centre-expands-service-to-support-women-through-their-transformative-journey[/quote]
sorry for the delayed reply - i was stuck at meetings the whole am.

please watch out for anaemia if you are experiencing heavier-than-usual flows. Women are prone to it.

I am the opposite actually - I've been on various implants so I kind of have forgotten what it is like to experience the time of the month lol 🙂

My sense is that most doctors and patients in Singapore are very resistant towards any form of progesterone, estrogen etc whether it is for HRT or birth control.

Agree because it will upset the balance in our body.

I take a more Western view in that if the body is already off-balance, it may benefit from some active measurement, than living uncomfortably or painfully with the symptoms and waiting for things to get better. All of medicine is about weighing the benefits and the costs or risks and there are consequences with over and under ‘medicalizing’.

Personally to me…if thing is ok ok …or the minor off balance is bearable, I will just let the body works on it.

We have to find out what is root cause of the \"off-balance\" and rectify from the root not just use medicine to make us feel better. For example, a few months ago, my blood pressure was high and I even had to take Amlodipine every morning to lower my blood pressure. Then what is the cause of hypertension? The western doctor said it was due to my age and just asked me to take Amlodipine. The problem is I suffer from constipation after taking Amlodipine and the western doctor suggest me to take Laxative at the same time.

I don't think it should be the way for me. Finally I examine my life style and the food I eat everyday. I try to go to bed before 1130pm at night and cut down meat and oil, increase the portion of vegetables and fruits in my diet. I walked up 4 storey to my office after lunch instead of taking the lift. I have already stopped taking Amlodipine for a month but my blood pressure is stable at 130 / 80 these few weeks with no more constipation.
