Had a good potluck dinner on Sat, except that my Corningware glass lid shattered. And the glass shards fell into my salad so we had to throw it away! Someone hadn’t set up a folding table properly, and everything on it slipped off when the legs folded. Luckily, my Corningware container was still in an insulated bag and didn’t break, but the lid shattered!

Anyone know where to get a replacement glass lid? I’ve looked on Carousell, but didn’t see any of the right size (23cm square). Or anyone have a spare? I’m willing to buy.

Woke up at 630am saw a lamp turned on next to sofa…not sure which dd woke up very early in the morning. When dh woke up at 7am opened the door say dd2 woke up. I was expecting dd1 not dd2. Probably getting anxious already though appeared to be the normal her keep cracking jokes during daytime.

I have another container that has the same size lid, and I think I have a plastic cover as well. And I don't use that size of container often. So it's not a must-have. But I would like to replace the lid at some point.

I been keeping those wok lids till recently I disposed some coz need space.

Luckily you still have the same size lid. How abt those stainless steel pot lid, if just need to cover the food? Dd broke the lid of a milkpot so I just use whatever lid that is at least the size of the pot mouth.

Round lid easier to find replacement. Maybe can find a square plate for temporary use.

A friend of mine says she has a spare which she will pass to me. She says that, over the years, sometimes containers break and she keeps the lids!

Both dh & I have had tough times with mil and my mom too. As we age, we started to try overlooking those not so happy events. My mil, I feel never liked me. And my mom has episodes with my dh too. But dh always tell me must understand the elderly. And sometime last year dh revealed to me that he and my mom have been greeting each other good morning every day. And I, the less 细心的女儿no wor.
                        Hi MrsKiasu,
Just wonder beside your MIL, anyone whom you feel never liked you?
