That's very nice of you. My eldest sister had a stroke and is now bedridden and has intubation to the stomach as she cannot swallow. She cannot talk or communicate since that stroke. I visit her at the hospice twice every week for the past seven months. It was very eye opening to see the other patients there. I talked regularly to one of the patients there who was very well spoken and lucid (although she has dementia and pretty much repeat herself half the time).
I used to visit my bro when he had Parkinson & my aged SIL cldn’t care for him. Whenever I’m there, I’ll keep him moving & exercise him on those machines at the home. Keep his brain muscles strong & remind him to coordinate.

Aiya! Come to think of it, nowadays I repeat myself quite often leh! Dementia hitting soon liao. 😬

That is why I keep on playing boardgames since 6 years ago. Just learn 2 new games today, need to remember the rules of the games, thinking how to win over.....for some games, we need to remember some actions by other players and strategies out what action we have to take. Those keep on talking and surfing handphone can never win a games. :nailbite:

I just placed a $90 order with Fairprice online - can’t use the CDC vouchers for that. I reckon that driving, parking, and the hassle of carrying all those heavy items is just not worth the $8 voucher. I’ll spend my supermarket vouchers in smaller amounts at SS when I go there twice a week.

Sorry to hear the condition of your eldest sister. 😢 Cannot image life without communication and eating. Actually stroke is considered as a hereditary diseases, it may also related to the eating habit of the same family members. You must take care yourself. If you fell ill, then who is going to feed the pigeons? :?

I don't feed pigeons anymore... I've been warned by the guards  So I'm now a good citizen but a bad human to the birds :skeptical:

Exploring card for dd1. Usually what card do you give dc for cashless and convenience but with control in spending. Now they only have ezlink card.

Can consider Revolut Visa debit card. I can use my phone’s app to:
                    - top up
                    - view itemized purchases
                    - lock/unlock the card
                    remotely.

I reminded dds again recently cannot feed the birds after readng some news… Dd encountered a weak bird unable to fly. She remembers that she can’t feed the bird. She wanted so much to give some water but at the end didn’t and then saw the cleaner took the bird away. She felt bad after that… say that she should have fold a paper and give some water.

Btw, giving water is allowed or not?

Seems not fm a bank in SG fm a quick google search. I m thinking of a simple Debit card attach to savings acct..a quick search this morning with DBS has minimal spending of $400. I don't like this restriction on meeting minimal for dd.
