I just placed a $90 order with Fairprice online - can’t use the CDC vouchers for that. I reckon that driving, parking, and the hassle of carrying all those heavy items is just not worth the $8 voucher. I’ll spend my supermarket vouchers in smaller amounts at SS when I go there twice a week.

That's very nice of you. My eldest sister had a stroke and is now bedridden and has intubation to the stomach as she cannot swallow. She cannot talk or communicate since that stroke. I visit her at the hospice twice every week for the past seven months. It was very eye opening to see the other patients there. I talked regularly to one of the patients there who was very well spoken and lucid (although she has dementia and pretty much repeat herself half the time).
Sorry to hear the condition of your eldest sister. 😢 Cannot image life without communication and eating. Actually stroke is considered as a hereditary diseases, it may also related to the eating habit of the same family members. You must take care yourself. If you fell ill, then who is going to feed the pigeons? :?

I don't feed pigeons anymore... I've been warned by the guards  So I'm now a good citizen but a bad human to the birds :skeptical:

Exploring card for dd1. Usually what card do you give dc for cashless and convenience but with control in spending. Now they only have ezlink card.

Can consider Revolut Visa debit card. I can use my phone’s app to:
              - top up
              - view itemized purchases
              - lock/unlock the card
              remotely.

I reminded dds again recently cannot feed the birds after readng some news… Dd encountered a weak bird unable to fly. She remembers that she can’t feed the bird. She wanted so much to give some water but at the end didn’t and then saw the cleaner took the bird away. She felt bad after that… say that she should have fold a paper and give some water.

Btw, giving water is allowed or not?

Seems not fm a bank in SG fm a quick google search. I m thinking of a simple Debit card attach to savings acct..a quick search this morning with DBS has minimal spending of $400. I don't like this restriction on meeting minimal for dd.

Good points raised also…it s another app…apl is good in checking the transacted items as and when we want. Do have some phobias coz dd’s hp has banking apps as my hp cannot hold 2 accts. With so many scamming going around …also worrying arh.

Dunno if we can apply supplementary CC with a lower limit, with free annual subscription?

It doesnt matter to me cos i put minimal amt of money inside, around $20 each time. If he needs more then he request from me. The best fxn to me is if the card is lost, i can immediately lock it. Got physical card opens up more food options to them cos paywave via debit card is more widely available than ezlink. I dun like Nets card, if lost then thief has access to whole bank savings acct.

That seems to be similar to what I m doing currently for ezlink. I use app to check balance and top up. Zac can use the Revolut Visa Debit card in school canteen as well? This should cover a wider range of payment mtd, yea?

I just called UOB, can apply supp cc and put a limit and this limit will be taken fm my limit. First yr is free, subsequent yrs annual fee 90+ and waiver based on their discretion. My issue will be I don't check in details the card tranx but just look at the common sellers name..CC tranx also just a tap very east...wait dd misplaced/lost card for a period without even noticing haiz.

I think try yours or see got any no restriction debit card based on savings acct bal.
