This is probably my very first post in KSP after its revamp.

Pardon my harsh language but really, the new KSP format is absolutely horrendous. Initially I had problems locating where is ME TIME. Had to click on Recess Time to get here. Except for old timers here, how many new to KSP would know what the hell is Recess Time, where the most active thread is hidden.

At least for the previous format, we could clearly see which topics were hot and being discussed currently, which will automatically attract people to come in to join in the discussion and post, making the discussion livelier.

Today, majority of those newly created threads contain only one single post with no response. This forum is basically “inactive”. An inactive forum like this will likely die off in no time. So what is the point of the reform? To render the once informative and even influential KSP forum inactive?

Another thing I miss is the “New unread posts” or whatever it was called - for regular users, it was so much easier to go through that list than to remember which specific threads we were following. Can we have something like that again?

Hope the change to show the order of Old to New post , just like the old forum… i get a bit giddy trying to locate the pages

@ChiefKiasu the problem is more than just reverse coding. I notice that during the first week after the revamp, the number of visitors hovered around 30+ but right now, it’s only 10+ online at any one time. I remember how active ksp forum was when there were new educational policies but thanks to the revamp, ksp forum was dead quiet despite the GEP revamp and other educational initiatives announced during the recent NDR.

If this forum is not active, who wants to keep logging in to check?

The first page is full of advertisement, sooner or later, your advertisers will notice ksp is not getting the number of eyeballs they want, they will also stop advertising here.

I don’t know what you have in mind, but users still find the new format confusing / not user friendly after months of revamp. It simply means that something is not right.

Thanks for your suggestions! I agree that the new forum really needs work. HWZ uses a paid forum so is of course much better, but we should do much better than what we did. I’m sourcing around for another vender who may have better suggestions and would appreciate some inputs.

@ChiefKiasu We were mostly happy with the old format, I think, so maybe try to do something similar unless people want specific things changed? At the moment, so many things have changed (mostly for the worse in many people’s view) that it’s hard to know what to comment on!

@ChiefKiasu happy to hear you are willing to improve the site. This is a very useful site tbh and it will such a waste for viewership drop because of tech issues. Not sure if I am reading your reply right, that you need inputs. Sure, happy to help. We are a bunch of people with nothing better to do with our time haha. I am in the digital marketing space. You can poll users using Google Forms each time you want to make a change, and decide based on the response? Then it is a decision “guided” by your users?

(man oh man, i tried editing my post for typo errors. cannot be done because cross the 5 second rule. lol.
