Yes, they have test every week. Infact every Tue is allocated for test day. Recently the frequency of tests if getting more, like 2 to 3 tests per wk. DS is coping well and still enjoying school. 😄 :xedfingers:

Although it was said that there is no CA1 and SA1, but all tests are counted and recorded in the progress report. And there is a parents-teacher meets after Term 1 based on the results !! So I don't see any diff by telling parents that there is no CA1 and SA1 :siao:

I've no comment for the teachers in school as my DS is only Sec1 this yr. Would say so far so good..He is in the PC class so everything is quite fast pace.

I would suggest you bringing your DS down to AHS and maybe talk to the teachers. Go for their open house and it'll sure benefit you more. 😄
Overall I would say it is a good school 🕺 🕺

              Hi Eddow

Yes i agreed. Frequency of tests is getting more. Recently, DS has 4 test in a week. I won't say he's coping well......just that he finds too little time to revise for test. Overall performance still ok and he's also enjoying in school. 😄 :xedfingers:

PC = Parallel Curriculum (a bit similar to IP but as the school doesn’t have IP at the moment). Yes, students in these 3 classes are taught a little bit more and faster, as they are able to cope. But I believe the whole level will be sitting for the same exam papersm eventually.

I just checked out their website and it says that the will be a talent development talk by the principal on 13 October. I think the talk will cover more about the PC class and the programs they have to stretch their students. Might be good to go
