Maybe you want to call the after care service to find out more? Also a point to note, acceptance to the school does not confirm placement in the after care centre. Especially with more student now, you may have placement problem.

Can anyone advise on the quality , curriculum of the in-house student care centre in Horizon Pri? I am forgoing My child's chance of going to Mee Toh Pri for horizon Pri Bec of the convenience of the in-house student care centre . Hope my decision is correct. Would appreciate someone to share som insights.

        Hi jessieyl,

It is very subjective about the quality, as it always tie back to the expectation. For me, I'm happy with the service as I have no worry about the arrangement to send my DS to the after school care. The school and Pro-Teach (the after school care provider) will coordinate with the 'handling-over', which means no worry if you kid has extra classes/activities at certain days.

Pro-Teach will get the students to complete their school work and coach them to practice their spelling (English and MT). I were asked to purchase extra workbook for them to practice. If you are to compare with some branded tuition center, you may find the standard is not that good. However, for me the objective is to ensure DS finished his school work before he goes home, so that I can spend sometime just revise his school work with him.

The teachers are caring and provide timely feedback. Students are allow to have fun or games if they finished their work and not forgetting they have power nap too. So I see it is a balance of work and fun.

Overall the service provided meet my objective that DS is in save environment, have someone to help us to ensure him finish his work at school and having fun time with friends and teachers. We have no worry about him when we are working.

This service is getting very popular and may not guarantee a slot for all applicants. You may call them up or visit them during the school open house.

        Best of luck.

            Hi laughing flower,
            Thks for the insight.

To me,i want a student care centre that cares about my child's homework so that as a working parent , when comes back home, I can just concentrate on revising his school work. Secondly , must take good care of my child's welfare too, i.e no abusive teachers, understanding principal and teachers , no abusive children, safety, etc.Lastly, convenience.

For now, just pray and cross my fingers that my boy can get into the centre.

There are 216 seats allocated for 2C this year. Should stand a good chance.

I am too considering my son for Horizon.
