any idea is the Targeting mathematics Companion Book 1B is already in? I have started checking at Popular & even the school bookshop but was told only released in May.

Star Publishing Pte Ltd has set up a booth at Suntec book fair this month. I saw this book selling in their booth.

Anyone can share the booklist for Horizon pri for this year pri 1 using so i can try to lend or borrow those textbook from friends or anyone who dun have anyone to pass on, can pass to me also, thanks.

I went for Horizon open house this year. Didn’t manage to speak with anyone but would like to know:

1) How does the Higher Chinese work? All students in P1 must take, and they get to opt out at P4? Is it one subject on its own or the student must take Normal Chinese as one subject, and Higher Chinese as another subject?
2) Is Higher Chinese difficult to cope if the child doesn’t speak much Chinese at home?
3) Are all the subjects (except for Chinese) taught in English? Heard from my friend in HIPS (SAP sch) that they teach social studies, moral ed, music, etc. in Chinese also.
4) What CCAs are there in the school?
5) Is Pro-Teach usually oversubscribed? I plan to put my child there but can only register for HPS in Phase 2C.
6) Any mommies here comparing between Horizon and Punggol View? PV will be my 2nd choice if my kid can’t get into Horizon. If so, will I have to register for PV during Phase 2C supplementary?

I am also curious to know that but i feel should be a separate subject ba since at pri 4 will be dropping for some of them.
The CCAs i see from the open house seem quite nice and pro wor, super amazed by their dancers.
Ya the student care talk i went also, they said will give priority to those really in need de.
For me Punggol view also will be my 2nd choice if i am unable to get in Horizon but prefer to get in cos just in front my house while punggol view is out of 1 km for me.

Hi i will tried to answer some of ur questions.
2) Is Higher Chinese difficult to cope if the child doesn't speak much Chinese at home?--> it depends, my girl also don speak mandarin at home but surprising she did better in her chinese for the term 1 and term 2 rating
3) Are all the subjects (except for Chinese) taught in English?-->Yes
5) Is Pro-Teach usually oversubscribed? I plan to put my child there but can only register for HPS in Phase 2C. --> yes high demand
6) Any mommies here comparing between Horizon and Punggol View? PV will be my 2nd choice if my kid can't get into Horizon. If so, will I have to register for PV during Phase 2C supplementary?--> if u r within 1km and singaporean i think will be confirm get in.

actually i got compare the list with previous year and found out that the Mathematics books are different so not sure whether next year will change again???

My boy will be studying n i think have to buy most of the books again as most of the books cannot be used back as the teacher will mark and they are tear out to do their work.
