Hi All,


As I will be overseas with my DH, My DD will be reporting to the sch herself.
I am wondering if anyone here knows what entails during the reporting ? Does she just hav to report ,register,collect booklist … thats all ? or will there be talks,programmes,and other decisions to be made ?

Generally, she'll have to report and pick up a few admin forms. The admin details will include the 3rd lang results (if she opted for it) and also any other programmes she might be considering. She'll also be given her booklist and can purchase her uniform then. Talks will depend on the school.

So with more kids taking IP, there will be less competition for those taking O level route. The other thing is, DSA is using sports for admission right?

I think he meant, COP for the IP schools will drop as now more schools offer it. There will be more choices and also not all top kids want to go top schools. There is this fish and pond philosophy to consider too.

DSA can be for sports, art, music, academic. The school have it's niches (basically those that can more likely help them win accolades). They rope in those who can help them win or continue to win via DSA. It's like English soccer, buy player with school admission. The rich ones who can buy good players are the top schools like RGS, RI, etc. they are 'richer' as their school place has 'more value'. This is why they can be top in everything, both academic and CCA's. There is no talent development, only talent exploitation.

There is no gag order :rotflmao: so newspapers will still want to find out.
With so much coverage on PSLE this year but at this last min, MOE doesnt want to disclose top scorers, reporters will be missing...no headlines on 23/11. Top student will not be called at 7am before collection of results...unless he/she is top in that school.

Mainstream newspapers will report published news release prepared by moe or within moe guidelines so no further probing for top national scorers or else will be 自打嘴巴。
