Yesterday feverish the whole nite, complain to me he took 3 hours to move from one End of the bed to the other to reach the medicine :roll: :roll:
But Now after taking the high Fever Medicine, he feels comfortable enuf to fall asleep ....

Ah Boy Not so Good, Yesterday Temperature Goes up again ....
Just Come back from Consultation at Polyclinic ....
2 Days MC ....
But their High Fever Medicine ibuprofen Really Works ....
Temperature Drop by 1 deg almost immediately !

OMG...
Fun, u can try alternate the pink one (cant rem the name but it's those normal de) and the orange one (ibuprofen) every 3hrs so as to keep the temp down when the medi is gg to be gone... this roller coaster temp might be due to virus. DS used to be like this, and doc recommend this and within the one day, DS temp become stable. then i only give the pink de

11pm for a 12 yo shd be OK -la!
Her Bedtime is usually about 12midnite to .... 1am!
And If Any Earlier, Cannot finish her HW, plus VV drama show ends at 10.30pm -ma!

:faint: DS strictly 9pm even till sec haha...

Depends on Which Sec Sch go To -le ....
My Fren Told me her top sch Gal every nite sleep at 1am to 2am, coz many sch work and CCA ....

Fever Drop a Bit to 38.3 deg, At Least can fall asleep ....

oh my, i always take fever very seriously de... coz my cousin coz of this become slower... (touch wood!!)

pink liquid kind is call paracetomol aka panadol suspension syrup bought off the shelf from watsons or guardian..


but doctors usually prescribe paracetomol.

suppository is another kind of pill which u stuff up the backside... this kind works faster in bringing the temp down... but the diff part is to stuff it up...

ibuprofen is an orange liquid whereby it is stronger than paracetomol. normally used for temp 39 or higher..

paracetomol can be taken every 4-6 hrs but if using ibuprofen, best to consume every 4 hrs... can change to paracetomol once temp is down & kid is feeling better with appetite slowly but surely returning

** note = never to alternate between paracetomol & ibuprofen during each feeding aka danger.

i rem he said something like cant continue take ibuprofen continuously so need to alternate :skeptical:

u can take ibuprofen for like 2 or 3 feedings first, then once temp down, change to paracetomol but cannot 1st feeding ibuprofen, then 2nd feeding paracetomol, then 3rd feeding again ibuprofen...

ibuprofen is to help u to bring down the temp; paracetomol is to \"put pressure\" on the fever bug & make it disappear.

that's y i say ibuprofen is only for 39 degrees or higher
