Were there property crash before?
What kind of level then is considered a crash? -

More like give up hope government will remove the cooling measures...or thinking long term
But rental prices also at rock bottom.lee_yl:

The general sentiment is prices have bottomed out.
People really don’t mind paying ABSD because they think property prices have bottomed out? 7% is a lot.
Some say ABSD will stay forever.

Why not sell both and move on to a newer or more suitable unit?
I will conside that. My hdb too old and too far....condo too small.... -
The G has already eased some cooling measures, namely SSD and TDSR.
ABSD and LTV certainly won't be removed or eased in this FY (which has about 4 more months to run). -

That's my gut feel as well.
Some say ABSD will stay forever.
It has worked well, and bring extra dough to the G coffers.
Why rock the boat? -

which one are you staying in now?
I find the New condo pricing is more Ex than resale condo ( those near 10yrs and above) , mine are above 10yo, but private is FH (by right should not have too much down swing even if age- hope this holds) -

I share the sentiment that prices have bottomed out. I have been looking at older 3 bedder in the northeast. Seem to be holding at $670 psf.
like which ones- condo leasehold? Or Landedfloppy:
I am just confused; is the property market doing well?
It's complicated.
The answer will vary depending on who you ask and which 'market' you are looking at.
(Remember, it's all lies, damned lies and statistics)
The usual, definitive sources would be:
1. URA's https://www.ura.gov.sg/uol/media-room/news/2017/Oct/pr17-72 (for private properties)
2. HDB's http://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/press-releases/flash-estimate-of-3rd-quarter-2017-resale-price-index (for HDB properties)
P/S: They have very nice graphs to help us make sense of their numbers

if i m not wrong around Mar2009(?) when the share mkt 'crashes' around that time i remember seeing unit sold at around 1.2k psf from the high 2.4k psf less than a yr ago. The last last time was SARS? somehow have the feeling most wont be so jittery as before as it will go back to reasonable normal price in no time. Were there property crash before?
