      sundaymorning:
      raisintan:

      Hi,

does anyone know why peeka is charging gst for purchases <$400? i thought iras' guideline states that it's waived for <$400?

      Hi raisintan ,
i have been ordering from Peeka , i had the same doubts previously and clarified with the cust svc support . It is actually not the GST , as Peeka uses container to ship the items over via sea , there is a 7% GST tax required from the customs .

      Thanks sundaymorning!

        Dear All,

I would like to order many books from dangdang, estimate 30-40 books.

May i know how do i catch the OFFER PRICE for shipping via Peeka or Daigou?

Any advise which agent to use? No urgency for the orders.

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

                Experience with 65daigou

I had received my books through 65daigou yesterday night. This was the 1st time using its service and it was good but the shipping fee was a bit expensive to my opinion. The whole process took less than 3 weeks. Books were wrapped nicely and in order.

                1.Weight of books\t\t = 16.25kg
                2.Price of books\t\t \t= $131.04
                3.Shipping & Agent fee\t\t= $75.59

Shipping charges was 58% of cost of books.
Delivery charge was only $8 for more than 5kg.

                Comparing to spree organiser (SMH)
I used to purchase dangdang books via SMH spree organiser in the past, the shipping fee was about 25% of the cost of books. It tends to have some minor issues eg: duplicate copy, missing book, old book was given, book in a set was not wrapped ( I guess the spree organiser open up to check or read the contents). The whole process would take about 1 month to get the books BUT SHIPPING FEE WAS THE CHEAPEST.

Daigou shipping is pretty pricey 😞
i ordered 4 books from Peeka and some other assorted items like shoes apparels , bags . my shipping fee is 25 ++ , excludes the handling and duty fee which is 12% of your item cost.
next time you could give it a try , i cant find any other taobao agent that is cheaper alr 😕

                      Thanks sundaymorning.

That was the first time using daigou. I felt v expensive. I used peeka before for lightings and its service was good. I will try out peeka this time for ordering books.

Have thought of using spree but very slow and they do not entertain when there is dispute in order to save cost.
Will share here my experience with peeka after trying.
