Brenda10:
Just received the 2nd batch of books ordered on 11 Oct. So the delivery is really 7 to 8 weeks.wonderm:
Received my first batch of books from Dangdang yesterday. All the books came in good condition. As a reference, my order went through on 3 Oct and received the books on 25 Nov. They were great gifts for DS who received PSLE result yesterday.
That's mean the lead time is almost 7.5 weeks. -
Hi,
Anyone order other stuff from DD before? Eg: Educational toys? -
hquek:
Yes, they finally sent me email to send them these details last thurs (1 week after I placed the order). I replied and then don't know why, another email came asking for same info. Emails to and fro on fri. According to the web status, the order is still under auditing.
Have they sent you the email to ask for your order number, name, first 4 and last 4 digit of your credit card? this is to be sent to [email protected].ksme:
aiyo, I placed the order last Thurs, up till now, the order still at auditing phase. Don't know why no movement on the order.
What is the email for the customer service? I couldn't seem to find it on the site. :?:

ya_susan,I bought my si wu kuai du from ebay. It costs $41.50 for the whole set. If you wish to buy locally, this is another way.
Tamarind,
Thanks for your blog. It's a motivation to me. Today I started my two homeschool 4 and 5 years olds, with si wu kuai du, they enjoyed it. Hope they will enjoy it daily.
I am glad that you find me blog helpful

I'm still waiting for mine then...placed order in mid-late Oct. Thanks to Tamarind and her blog, my kids are enjoying the wonderful reads from dangdang. DS1 didn't like reading chinese books in the past, but 卡梅拉 really changed his mindset. Now he's happy when we start on new series. :celebrate:
Very true. My dd now crazy over xiao mao ri ji. Like what Ms Tamarind had mentioned, once they repeatedly seeing same words for few times they can recognize and write out.
It's my pleasure to share good books with others

I borrowed from the library but found the books so beautiful that I bought them to keep. The storyline is good that I think the kids will appreciate it better when they are older
For those who do not have credit card or are still worried about buying online, the National Library has many of these books. The entire series of 笑猫日记 books (suitable for P4 and above), and the entire series of 鼠小弟(must have books for every child, suitable for 2 years old and above) are available in the library. Reservation of a book costs $1.55.

You can even recommend a book to the library
I have recommended 2 books before, and they are very willing to buy the books.

Upon payment processing DD will use whichever current price that is applicable. I know because I had a promotional item in my cart. However, I was having some problem paying and by the time I made payment, the promotional period was over. DD used the normal DD price for the item.
Hi bicky,bicky:
Hi tamarind
Sometime DD will have promotion price for 2 or a few days. Any idea if I put the book into my shopping cart without payment (lock the price first) while searching for more books, if I make the payment after promotion period, will they still honour the promotion price?
Thanks.
I have not encountered that situation before. But I know that when we submit the order, the website will check the availability of the books again, so I guess it will also update the price. My guess is that the price will be updated to the current price, not the promotion price. I am guessing only, anyone else who has encountered this, please comment.
Now DD having promotional price for many of its books, able to get some books at even cheaper price. Pity about the long delivery time. Well there's always opportunity cost somewhere. As a SAHM I'm willing to wait so as to enjoy the savings which I can use to buy more books for my kids.

Just to share, to speed up the order processing time, you can put extra $$ in your account for future purchases. Last night, I placed an order using the balanced amt in my account and viola! the books were shipped out TODAY!! It’s really fast.
