If the sum of numbers in the N row is 10 302, find N.

Formula is Nx(N+1)=sum of numbers in N row.

So.....
Nx(N+1)=10302
101x(101+1)=101x102=10302

Ans: N = 101 when the sum of numbers in the 101 row is 10302.

How can I know n is 101? using \"guess and check\"?

I am actually a returning Singaporean. Coincidentally, when I migrated, I migrated to Australia too. When we left my elder brother was also in p5. We returned to sg in dec 2009. So he skipped PSLE. When he continued his studies in 2010 he was in sec 2. He took entrance test and managed to qualify for express. It was quite impressive considering that we stayed in Aust for 2-3 yearsand the primary school standard in West. Aust was much slower compared to Singapore.

[/quote][/quote]Wah, you dig out such an old comment? Actually that boy who joined the school in sec 1 (w/o psle), didn't make it in the end. His full-year GPA was way way too low. So he had to leave the school.

On second thoughts, maybe the schs know parents will buy prelim papers so they ease off a bit. DD set a target to finish the prelim papers by this weekend. Hopefully can achieve that. How's your DD's progress? Nearly finish all the prelim papers?

Really....always rain on PSLE LC exams? Hopefully, it doesn't rain cats & dogs. DD sitting right at the back of the hall....won't be able to hear the CD properly. Maybe can only hear 'woow, woow, meow, meow'.... :evil:

Your DD's classroom is affected by water ponding??? In Bukit Timah, is it??? No wonder the sch asked them to go back at 7.30Am....
