Can I just check for math, if working, my ds didn't put units but final answer put units. Is that ok? (I mean the working no units)

My DD too did that.her teacher told her to do that,so its ok.

My dd finds the paper very easy, so are all her classmates - complete Paper 1, check about half the paper. Paper 2 checks 3 times. Other than some careless mistakes, should be fine generally. Apparently the Math teacher says that it is easier than what she expects

Think most of us overlook the time factor in paper I.

Normally I let DS do the school's prelim papers without really timing.

When DS2's turn in 2 year's time must time him for paper I speed practice alerady.
My DS2's turn in 5 year's time I can't imagine how tough the paper will be :? Really stressful
Ds said that both paper 1 and 2 were easy like hell maybe he could score full mark but most of his classmates said paper 1 was difficult πŸ•Ί

Sorry huh but wat do you feed your DS that he says both papers are easy?
He has super brains!
Fyi, I'm probably one of those parents who is crying my lungs out because my very very dear son didn't come out of exam hall smiling!

Hi hashroop, i read through all the posts on the Math exam today, and can't resist dropping you a note...

In every exam, there are bound to be students who find the papers difficult and some (or maybe one?) who find the papers 'easy like hell'. For those who find the Math paper difficult, don't despair. Sometimes, the results is not as bad as you think. Tell you child to forget about the Math paper, as
it is already over. Instead, encourage your child to focus on the
upcoming Science & Chinese papers for next week. I am very sure your child will do well, with your encouragement & support.. πŸ˜„

For those who find the Math papers easy, don't be too big-headed (ops, twatao, I don't mean you.. ). Continue to work hard for the Science & Chinese papers and give your best in the final lap of PSLE next week!

That was what I told my DS, who is one of the lucky ones who find the Math papers relatively easy, as compared to his school prelims exam, but definitely not to the extent of 'easy like hell' lah (he does not have a super brain lah)! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Jia-you.. Jia-you!!! :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:
Firefly, i agree.
Some kids may come out of exam hall and say \"very difficult\", but they score high A or A*. Some did the questions correctly but have no confidence and thus say \"very difficult, not sure\". Some kids, everything easy!! But the results speaks later.

I hope i didnt offend anyone. I just speak from experience. My dd will sometimes say \"very easy\" but if press further.... Easy... BUT.... just a couple of difficult ones BUT..... πŸ™‚

Let's focus on the next 2 or 3 (if do HMT) papers. All the best!!
