For Science Paper 2, there is an \"energy\" question - about an inflated balloon being placed on top of a toy car. Question has 2 parts: (a) why is it that the car can still move though the balloon is already deflated? (b) list 2 ways to make the car move faster.

      What are the answers?

My ans is : (a) when the air escaped from the balloon, the car gained kinetic energy and after the balloon was deflated, the car would still have some kinetic energy so it would move from point l to point m.
      (b) apply lubricant on the surface of the ground and inflate the balloon more.

I said there would still be potential energy for to be converted to kinetic energy for the car to move... is it correct?? :xedfingers: 🙏
I don't really approve of the word (potential energy). And, where did the potential energy came from?

For the MCQ Plant Question, my son put carbon dioxide. Is it water or carbon dioxide?

I think it should be carbon dioxide and not water as there was a sufficient amount of water in the beaker. And as the rate of photosynthesis is more than the rate of respiration in the presence of light, the carbon dioxide would run out fast. thus, the answer should be carbon dioxide[i think]

my son also wrote carbon dioxide as the answer.

So far a science teacher from DS's school said it's water.
HOD from Ms Tay's DS's school also said it's water.

CO2 is needed more than water. Maybe the HOD didn't read the question/see the diagram properly?

The question is focus one which one is depleted more and faster, not on which is needed more.

We probably can only get a fair idea if we see the proper question.

Correction. The science teacher from DS’s school that said the answer is water is also the HOD for science.
