HI, my son registered RI, they will have a camp. A question: will they wash their dirty clothes everyday? Or they will keep the dirty clothes of those days in the bag until coming back home for washing.

      OMGGG!!!

      That is Nothing ....
Compared to my Gal Bring-ing Back 17 days Worth of Clothing ....
For Us to Wash after her trip to US!

I asked him the same question. He said, during his DS P5 camp, his DS did not stay overnight. In the end of the first day, went home already.

As for oversea trip, parent will follow to be the helper as parents were in PSG. If parents are not allow, DS will not go.

        Is this common?

Your friend sounds over-protective. This is worrying especially as the boy will eventually have to go for NS. Or is your friend planning to get him out of NS somehow?

How does the boy react to the actions of his parents?

maybe next time can have é™Ŗ兵妈妈ļ¼Ÿ :rotflmao:

I agree it's too protective :slapshead: Blur Dad - tell your fren later DS swim back from Tekong... Oops... RI parents gg to :spank: me
Agreed, his DS is over protective. I do not know friend's DS very well, meet him a few times. Friend's DS was in basketball school team and out going, very smart, scored 268 for PSLE. Should not have any problem for NS. Guess it is just the parent issue. Do not know when to let go.

I think it is quite common, I have also seen similar case happen in my DS school. Everyday, the father was seen in school in the morning, break time and after school.

Then why did you apply to RV in the first place ?
If RV is too far for you ACSI may be far too since it's on the west side too.
Thanks vlim. Do they consider PSLE score during the appeal process?

I think most likely yes.. From the sucessful appeal cases tt reported here so far .. They are same cop of the school just maybe short by a few decimal pt... Like your case ..

Thanks. Hope DS gets into his favorite school. Keeping the fingers crossed.
Appeal rejected. Was told that PSLE score has no relevance or has little relevance during appeals. There are other considerations (unknown). DS can not understand the fact that school is accepting other appeals ignoring someone who has scored exactly equal to COP and given ACSI the first preference. Poor kid.

:yikes: :nailbite: how can that be?! Same score as COP and juz miss by decimal places. Did you furnish any other docs eg p6 results or report book comments by teachers which did not act to his favor?

how come they inform you so fast? normally they consolidate and inform unsuccessful ones like end of next week.

oh dear... your kid must be very upset...
Help him settle into the school he is posted to. Every school presents its unique opportunities. If he keeps an open mind, seeks out these opportunities and puts in the effort, he will be able to shine, if not better!!!
