Snow Crystal:
they, HCI, has always actively participated in the DSA CO appeal cases (accept and release) in the past , and this is not the first year they have 2 types of wait listyamatomato:
Have 2 friends whose DSs' appeal to HCI were unsuccessful . Scores are 255 +2 and 256+2. anyone here heard of successful appeal to HCI?
That is interesting. If you recall, HCI DSA is done in a structured way. On top of DSA COs, they have waiting list of which they inform top 50 WL they are as good as CO if choose HCI as first choice. And HCI is one of the few schs reminding option holders that this year no DSA Transfer allowed. That being the case, HCI S1 posting appeal vacancies will be as few as yesteryears cos they have strictly adhered to MOE Directive from the start, converted at least top 50 WL to CO leaving no gap there and they won't keep any seats for DSA Appeal cases. Thus no surprise S1 posting appeal vacancies same as its previous years - very very limited and thus have to pick and choose.
the reason that they have few vacancies for S1 appeal was because they are not releasing anyone who wants to leave, or have not received any request to leave, because the other school has not given any offer for the appeal
it is interesting to note that the schools that used to experience \"requests to leave\" after PSLE result was released were the one putting up notices up front this year saying there is no transferred allowed as per MOE directive, while other schools have not said so
just a personal observation -

May I know if your friends whose appeals are unsuccessful are through S1 posting or DSA CO? -
Is there anyone successful from RI appeal .

True. Can see HCI really treat the directive seriously all the way. Mentioned it in their symposium etc. I guess their message is: when you exercise my option, you can't run away to the other mountain so easily after PSLE, so don't pray pray anyhow exercise. Upfront and very clear
