Hi parents, I came across this site selling model compo. The sample of their creative writing looks quite good. Anyone want to share- we can save on economies of scale. Eg. 3 people share one set of original $30, with 2 Photocopies.

      Pm me if keen.

        Hi hi 🙂

anyway to improve the standard of English , here is a free link that helps

        http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/language/

i print out the worksheets and let students listen ! they would be exposed to the proper pronunciation.

Do note that while learning a language is what they do , they naturally acquire the language when u speak it. So if u speak Singlish , they pick up Singlish

not trying to put down the site but what is the use of showing the end product if they don't teach you how to structure and compose ?

the comments @ the side seems to be useful , if you already understood the concept

My ds is at MS Tampines. He is in Wed afternoon slot for P5.

He has been with MS for past 6 months, for P4 this year, he is on Sat 1pm slot with teacher Irene. I looked through his p4 ms papers and find they covered mostly on Vocabulary. I likes their English materials as standard is higher than school. My ds is not in HA class. But there improvement on his result for final exam. We drilled him in grammar, cloze passage and MCQ at home. We have to depend on school and MS for his compo and compre.

If you interested in Tampines MS, try to get Mrs Pang class as she is well known in Tampines Branch for P5 English and P6 science.

My son has attend P5 lesson this month with a new teacher, feedback from my son is that the teacher go through with them questions on worksheets and explained to them too. So far only 3 lessons and I will see how he fare for his CA1 results next year.

Frankly, tuition once a week is really not that enough. We only put him at MS just to guide him in doing compo and compre which they are well known for. As for grammar, transformation and synthesis and vocab, must buy those assessments books and make the child practice.

                  Hi Parents,

My boy is in P2 this year and i would like him to attend TAS creative writing class. However, TAS do not have any P2 creative writing class and their English class on Sunday is full.

Pls pm me if you are interested to let your child (P2) attend Saturday English/creative writing class. If we have enough kids, we could request TAS to open up another class/slot.

                  Many Thanks!

                  Rgds,
                  Ais

Honestly i have tried the 3 and they aren’t that good as promised… my girls are currently enrolled at this boutique centre at Roxy Square… There is a very experienced teacher teacher there. She coaches very exclusively small classes. U can try and see if they still have places cuz they fill up really fast. Before the holidays i heard they were near full capacity already… This centre doesn’t advertise… If u r really interested go down and enquire. It’s called Tacher and it’s located at 02-46.

My girls loved their classes and i have not regretted placing them there.
