Just to check. If dd successfully got a CO from xx school but when her result came out to be better than expected, can she give up the offer and proceed with the mainstream posting to another school instead?

When you say 'give up the offer', do you mean (a)not exercise the option to accept CO or (b) accept the offer ie exercise option then join S1? Exercising the option is after taking PSLE but before PSLE results are out. So you may reject the CO and after PSLE results are out assuming no taking up any other WL, your kid can join the S1 exercise. For scenario (b), once you accept a CO, your kid's name is taken out of S1 exercise ie not allowed to join S1, and like what vks2010 already said, from 2011 PSLE, transfers are also not allowed after exercising of CO.

Thanks for your reply. I actually meant accepted CO but wanna change when the PSLE result is out. When must we reply on the CO? Can we go for few schools for the kiasu sake? heee....... πŸ˜„ πŸ˜„ πŸ˜„

      :thankyou:

if you have accepted the CO and exercised the option, then cannot change liao, 2011 lots of parents got caught trying to change but couldn't. MOE decided to enforce its long standing rule of no changes after accepting a CO

Its a fair decision by MOE else there will be no ending to it. Anyway :thankyou: for your kind input

[/quote]Once you've accepted the CO you can't change your mind. You need to indicate whether you accept the CO sometime after taking your PSLE exams but before the results are out. In Oct if I remember correctly.

You can apply to as many schools for DSA as you want but bear in mind the energy, time, effort and fees you'll be expending on this. Stick to the two schools you've identified. That should be good enough. πŸ™‚

                  Hi,

My son got a silver in SMO Junior 2011 When he was a P5 boy. He got 106.5/150 in AMC 10B. His dream school is NUSH. But he did not well in NMOS 2011 because he was too nervous. He also got a silver in NMOS 2011. May I know how many percentage if he apply NUSH DSA?

Anyone can share what will the open house activities be like?
We need to bring anything? Kids need to be in school uniform?
Are we allowed to tour around the school or just go to auditorium for a speech?

One more question : When do we actually submit all these DSA application? Is it dependent on individual schools?

Bring kid and no need to be in schoo uniform. Check schools websites for Open house dates. Usually they will have seniors to bring you around.
