DD just finished her nygh interview. She said it's a really big group of about 20 girls, and she didn't have much to say. She felt that her chances with nygh has just gone down the drain...:(
DD had her interview at NYGH yesterday. It's only a group of 6 gals to 2 interviewers (the principal and the vp) and they have to do group discussion while the interviewers observed. Only 2 questions were asked (1 in English and 1 in Chinese). They only took about 20 minutes in total.
Basically, there are 2 groups of interviewers yesterday and the gals are group into 6s.
May I know is your dd in the gep or mainstream? thx.
Did your dd enjoy the interview?
My dd is gep. Frm what I cld see, there were 2 groups of gals being interviewed yesterday. The other group, after my dd's group, also consisted of about 20 girls. Frm their uniforms, it was a mix of girls frm the different GE centres.
My dd's classmate was also in a group of 6 for her nygh interview. I suppose the school has different types of interviews. -
Nygh allocated four days for the dsa interview with geppers perhaps
that is the reason why they hv small group (6 pax) formal and big group (p20
pax) informal arrangement for the interview session. -

Yup agreed. Lets bond here regardless of race, language or religion. :hugs:
:grphug:leeven:
One forumer shared that English Domain in RGS contains 15 girls. Some girls tend to talk a lot without giving chance to other girls. This shows that facilitators are lousy, do not know how to control the class.
Worst to worst, ask the person who talks so much to SHUT UP (it is usually dominated by one of the races). This is not being rude but survival. Don't need to be well-mannered or raise hands, just interrupt whosoever wants to talk. Otherwise, the chances to be selected are slim, if the 'quieter' girls chose to be quiet and let the 'noisy ones' to win the race.
Lets not mention any race here and spoil the good sharing spirit among parents . Beware children also read this forum , this includes my DS. To be chatty or quite in nature is not specific to race.I hope moderator delete relevant posts. Sry if I hurt anyone.

Juz curious... Why is there formal & informal group? Will the gals get the chance to attend both? If not how they allocate who to go which group? :?Nygh allocated four days for the dsa interview with geppers perhaps

who is Mdm Heng? what sch is she in?
Mdm Heng is the principal of NYGH. -
Herbie:
Hmm. if that's the case, does it mean that some geppers will go thro formal interview and some informal? really strange. :scratchhead:Nygh allocated four days for the dsa interview with geppers perhaps

I heard if RI doesn't send email reg. selection test, means not shortlisted and no notification sent for rejected pupils.
That's true and RI has sent out all shortlisted emails for all domains yesterday.
all the best to the kids.

The girls will only get to attend one session. It is either the formal or informal session.
