Have not received any email from SNGS. Has anyone received ?

I did not receive any email too. I called the admin yesterday and was told that letters and emails are out. An email reply from the Sch informed that official letters were dispatched to all shortlisted candidates and are expected to reach us today, or no later than fri.

A general question. As the P5 and P6 papers set by each primary school is different. Can be easy or challenging.

But the minimum overall % score for some DSA schools are fixed, how do they reconcile such differences? Any insights?

I was just thinking… won’t the child be at a disadvantage if their school set challenging paper versus one that don’t?

The requirement of % score is applicable only for DSA to RI (or maybe RGS also) under GEP domain, as the GEP exam papers are the same for all the 9 GEP centers/schools. Mainstreamers are evaluated by other criteria. You may refer to earlier discussions in this thread.

Maybe my question relates more to mainstreamers...

One of the targetted DSA schools for my P5 has a min overall % score for P5 and P6 mid year. It is not RI or RGS. I realised some other sec schools have that sort of requirements for DSA as well while I was looking through their website...

But I seriously wonder with the different exams std of each school, how do they calibrate that??? a 90% (for easy paper for school a) vs 60% (for challenging paper for school b) where only a handful in cohort pass??? So is the 90% viewed as better performer than the 60% (when the child is one of those who passed in entire cohort)??? Maybe not so extreme but just wondering.
