      Herbie:

      Hi! I hv one qn.

Jason's grandfather has black eyes and his dad has brown eyes.
      Jason's has black eyes.

Why does jason have blavk eyes although his parents have brown eyes?

      Inherit from grandfather of course

Yes. The students should have been taught that such inherited traits can 'skip a generation'.

Hi! Have you heard of DNA? I supposed so, ok based on the question, DNA contains traits which can be passed down through their parent, Jason’ grandfather would have passed this genetic traits to his son, whom Jason father is but was not inherit the trait. Jason father would then passed down to him his grandfather’s traits

Hi. I would like to know if anyone could suggest to me where I can find good workshop for this coming June holiday that helps to train the kids in answering complete, precise and accurate using Higher Order PSLE Styled Questions. My son has this problem of answering the open ended questions. His knowledge of the concepts is good just that it seems very difficult for him to bridges the gap between content knowledge and questions.

I am not sure if there is any good books out in the market that "train" students in this area. Please give me some advices. Thank you.

Both the genes for black eyes and brown eyes were passed down from Jason's grandfather to Jason's father. However, the gene for black eye became a recessive gene in Jason's father which was why he did not have black eyes. He had brown eyes instead because the gene for brown eyes became the dominant gene.

Again, both genes were passed down to Jason. The gene for black eyes became the dominant gene in Jason which was why he had black eyes. The gene for brown eyes became the recessive gene in Jason.
