C is a pulling force, plcucking the flower! Just like you acted as you were to pluck a flower on the television scene, a lot of people would rather pull than push, do the same to others!

http://i49.tinypic.com/2ur8rrq.jpg\"> Can I ask if anyone know the answer to this question. The answer is 4 but I think it's wrong.

                      The answer is 1

The answer is (4) because the size of the population (in this case the question asked \"how many\") includes all the individual organisms adult and young. For example if there are five frogs and ten tadpoles in a pond, the population of frogs will be 15.

Hope this helps.[/quote]The answer is 1. The question asked is how many populations. Tadpoles and frogs belong to 1 population. There are 5 frogs and 10 tadpoles which means THE NUMBER OF ORGANISMS in the pond, not the population.

                      population is defined as:
                      1.
the total number of persons inhabiting a country, city, or any district or area.
                      2.
the body of inhabitants of a place: The population of the city opposes the addition of fluorides to the drinking water.
                      3.
the number or body of inhabitants of a particular race or class in a place: the native population; the working-class population.
                      4.
Statistics . any finite or infinite aggregation of individuals, not necessarily animate, subject to a statistical study.
                      5.
                      Ecology .
                      a.
the assemblage of a specific type of organism living in a given area.
                      b.
all the individuals of one species in a given area.

In science, we take the 5th definition. So a specific type of organism is one population.
