Mmmm... banana cake... my favourite!

LKVM, I think it may not be the baking powder. I bought a new bottle of baking powder but my cake didn't rise that well too. I am now beginning to doubt if the cakes baked using breadmaker are as nice or comparable to those using mixer and then put to oven to bake... πŸ˜‰

I think it rise quite ok but still I feel that it could have well risen somemore... maybe will try with new one if still cannot then surely problem with the machine bah πŸ˜›

Oops LKVM, I don't mean to say yours didn't rise well... πŸ˜‰ what I meant was, somehow I got this feeling that cakes baked in breadmakers look and taste different from those baked in the oven... and using oven, maybe there's air circulation within the oven compared to the breadmaker... Just my opinion... I may be wrong... πŸ˜‰

Sorry, don't mean to be a damper here, but I read somewhere that the element used in the breadmachine is not the ideal for baking cakes. Think it has something to do with the temperture or something like that and that's one reason why I have never attempted a cake using the breadmachine.

I also think so... Or maybe, I should try another one.. this time using all purpose flour instead of cake flour... and from there, I will be able to tell... hehehe!! πŸ˜‰

It tasted yummy I had added 2 bananas and it smelled good too..
It looks good. Banana cake batter tends to be heavy right? So I think it won't rise as normal cake πŸ˜„

Then on Sunday ie yesterday, I prepared the raisin bread but instead of just raising I put all the mix also from same brand as Choco chips...

This time the bread rose to the highest.. I used the z machine recipe but increased the quantity little bit cause it seemed too small for my machine πŸ˜›

            here is the result ...

Thank you dear.. yes 1 each weekend πŸ˜‰ since nothing else to do :celebrate:

So what are you going to bake next? πŸ˜‰ I have yet to try my wholemeal loaf. I need to think of interesting bread to bake for my daughter. She seems to have gotten bored with the few varieties that I baked. 😒
