      i remembered when i was young, my neighbour was a nyonya,
      almost everyday, i would have some nice and warm kuehs/cakes to eat. πŸ˜„

            When I was young, my mum used to work part time as a cleaning lady for this Eurasian Family. We called her Auntie Theresa. She was a fantastic baker and every Christmas, she would give us one of her delicious \"to die for\" heavenly chocolate cake! πŸ˜‰

              Crisco is a kind of shortening. Whitish? Think it is the photo effect. Actual cream is creamy colour.

                ya....that's was when we were young.....neighbours or frens were so friendly

                nowadays, even with neighbours, nobody will knock at yr door and give u anything to eat or sample 😐 ... :lol:
