I should think so, but I am a big fan of Crisco.
Don't trust those no brand type commonly found in the supermarket or PH, don't know the origin of the shortening! :dowan: -
Hey Friends, guess what? My Bluesky 'resurrected' today! :dancing: :dancing: I am so happy! :dancing: :dancing:
Worried that the machine would trip like the last time, I did a step by step test instead of plunging straight into the baking mode. In fact, I was prepared for it to trip again when it started baking, so I shut down my computer and waited and waited for the power in the house to go off!
To my surprise, the machine did not trip at all and I had a nice loaf when the machine beeped. :celebrate:
Today's bake was inspired by peterch's illuminous green bun a few weeks ago. I attempted my very own coconut-panda bread today and the result is very good! :celebrate: I used one of my white bread recipe and substituted the liquid with coconut milk and a drop of pandan paste.
Nothing near peterch's illuminous green bun which Chief adores, but still a great success, considering that I managed to bake the loaf using my Bluesky and best of all, the bread is really yummy!
:thankyou: peterch for the idea.
With the balance of the coconut milk, I made kaya to go with my green loaf!

Congratulations maid for ur bluesky machine running again...Maid the bread looks yummy... may I ask which recipe u used and for 700g or 900g? How do you manage to cut the pieces so thin? when do you cut it when its totally cooled off?
:thankyou: LKVM. I did not use any of B's recipe, but one that I have been using for my white loaf all these while. Like I said, I substituted the liquid with coconut milk, that's all.
I used a bread knife which I bought long time ago when I first started baking bread. Was too impatient, did not wait for the bread to cool completely, but was still warm when I cut it. -
:congrats: Maid!!! Now you need not manually bring it to bake... :celebrate:
That means Z got no chance to earn your money at all.
