      Haiji Bread Buns

I used the Haiji White Bread Recipe (fm Cosybake), tweak it with the addition of raisins and extra 50g of wholemeal flour (i need to fill my round pan), i didnt increase the liquid part though, it still turned out good. Here'r the pics :

Btw, I t ate the buns the next day, they were slightly dry, I reckon it's the inadequate liquid portion, I will increase the milk part next time, ε‰θΎˆs, any suggestion?

          Hi mummy-s and Uncle Trap,

This forum is a treasure-trove. Like Uncle Trap, I’m seriously thinking of getting a bread machine and making my own bread coz its almost impossible to get the kind of bread we all like, plus when in the mood, my kids polish off 3 loaves (full-size) within the school week - and they are 9,7 and 5 respectively!

Probably, more nutritious and with less preservatives too!

Any good suggestion on bread machines besides the Mini Z?

          Thanks in advance!

            Andaiz,

Most of us bought the z. It's compact.

However, you may want to check out Severin, which is another popular brand.

Trust me, the breadmachine is a worthwhile investment :imcool:

                Hi happy mama,

The bread machine is used every other day. But I have not had time to be adventurous, except for the usual wholemeal or wholemeal prune, apricot or cranberry bread. Sure, I will see if I can post any πŸ˜„

I have a Breville and I love it. Try not to buy a Severin. Mine died after a year, and my friend's one doesn't give decent bread (always super dense). Then earlier in this thread, someone was saying Severin giving problems too.

U can get the knife from Taka, Isetan and Tangs. And if you have the respective discount cards from the shopping outlets, then can enjoy further savings. Can't remember the actual price now, but less than $20. (was it $13? i think)
