No, my earlier sharing was on comparing my current new Z with the older Z model (that was 10yrs old).Tweety, yours is severin machine right? Someone shared, was it you schweppes? that the pan of Z can produce better quality bread..... Who said that huh? So perhaps the stronger aroma comes from the pan?
In any case you have a pretty loaf there. Aroma or not, when you put it close to your mouth you can smell it still....and it is healthy without preservatives.

Have to get that knife this weekend
Mine is Zojirushi too. Maybe my sense of smell is not as good as yours and Happy Mama, thats why no aroma. But like what you said, when its close to mouth, definitely can smell it. And yes, agree that it is healthy and without preservatives. Now, I am so happy that my family has another healthy food in our list

Hi All,
This thread has moved too fast for me. Anyway, just want to highlight a few replies. No time to reply to eveything.
First thing first, :congrats: a big congrats to Happy Mama! I am sure you are a real Happy Mama today as compared to the Sad Mama the other night, so looks like you don't have to borrow my cuties as pillows tonight! you have your own to use tonight!
About that shop in Bedok, no problem at all! Glad to help out my cyber friends here!
Happen to be there to get my specs adjusted, so thought might as well walk there to find out if the glass cutting board is still available.
LKVM, jtoh, autumnbronze, what are you waiting for?
Think we have more than convinced you that a breadmachine is really worth the buy, right? Ask your husbands to come to this thread to see for themselves if they are still not convinced.
schweppes, you really make me :rotflmao: with your choice of words. First was the flour fingers, next is the word of mouse! :rotflmao: You made my day! -

:goodpost:Ah... but dear Chief, nothing beats homemade bread. Sure, the commercial ones are cheaper and convenient to get. There's also a lot of variety in the market too.
But there's something special about homemade stuff. The family gets involved and there's a sense of growing excitement in the air. Everyone takes furtive peeks into the window of the bread machine as we wait expectantly for the bread to rise.
Very soon, as the machine works its magic, smells of freshly baked bread wafts through the air, permeating our home with comfort and warmth. Such are the memories of love that we want to linger on for our children.
Finally, the machine beeps. My children whoop with excitement. The bread is ready. We gather around the table as the bread is being prepared to be sliced and served. Crusty on the outside but tender loving warm and soft on the inside. Nice.
So, to borrow MasterCard's ad lines,
Breadmachine: $318
Bread ingredients: $10
Joy of baking homemade bread: Priceless
Guess, there is really some things that money can't buy.
Happy Bread Making, everyone :celebrate: -

Chief...are you tuning in or not? :?

No lah, like I said so many times before, I am no Shi Fu though I must admit that I do have a teeny tiny bit of interest in baking and of course experimenting with different recipes, but pity my men sometimes,
have to be my guinea pigs as I perfect a particular recipe, especially the one for bak kwa!
Me posted pictures of kueh bulu? You mean the kite flying event at Marina Barrage, is it? :? -
25hourmaid:

:rotflmao:
So it's the cute vertical baby one that everyone's talking about? Too lazy to read through 88 pages to see which model everyone's buying.Happy Mama:
Ooh, ksi and happy mama, now you've got me really tempted. I'm holding back in case it turns out to be another white elephant in my kitchen.
Even if it becomes a white elephant, it will be a CUTE white elephant

jtoh:
Haha... yes. The model is Zojirushi Home Bakery Mini, BB-HAQ10.
So it's the cute vertical baby one that everyone's talking about?
If not mistaken, I think tweety17 bought Severin, a German brand
