should i get him to copy compos? what to do if every character is written unsatisfactorily? rewrite that character 10times? the more he writes the worse it gets it seems. :stupid: he only writes neatly when he is doodling his stickman complete with speech bubbles...but that is in english characters!
      Hi Jedamum,
Share with you something that I found out only yesterday 😉 P4 DD1's compo pieces, without fail sure have this remark by her CL T: \" 故事内容精彩丰富但错别字较多;应多加注意!\" So, for every compo piece the CL T made her re-write the 2nd time and it's \"amazing\", 2nd time she still can make same mistakes! :stupid: :frustrated: So, CL T made her write 3rd time again! :rotflmao: Now, even if at 3rd piece, she still has only one 汉字 wrote wrongly, CL T will make her write the 4th then the 5th even there was one piece she wrote the 7th time! 😂

So, now I can see that there is slight improvement in her CL handwriting and I do hope she will really be more careful with the 错别字 for the SA1 CL Compo coming Friday! 😓 😓

            Original Title: Illegible Handwritting

            Hi,

            I'm very headache with my P6 girl's handwritting. 😢

No matter how I advise her or scold her and even her teacher also told her to write more neatly, but she still cannot changes her bad habbit.

Hope someone has the same experience and has good solution for this. :?:

            Thanks

            fxchow
I have a similar problem with my boy. Besides writing illegibly, his teacher complains that he doesn't present his math working fully; like to skip steps.
I have told him many times about the importance of presenting the working completely but he would say that he still gets the answers.
            Any advice on that?

                Hey fxchow,

I am not really sure how your daughter is going to improve her writing without practicing. You must get her to practice her writing more often. You can may be try to get her to write at least one page to improve her writing. May be that should help.

I think she just need practice. Tell her to write at least two pages regularly on handwriting note books. You will definitely mark improvement in her handwriting.

They’re books with lines for kids to practise handwriting (not a normal exercise book). Easily available at bookshops such as Popular.

Need to 请教 parents who have walked the path -

When do we "promote" the child (from writing single alphabets) to writing words?

Must the child start with writing on paper and pencil? Is there a diff if learn writing on white board (placed horizontally on table) using erasable pen?
