The purpose of assessment book is to expose them to many difft types of qns. But most impt, the child must know answering techniques. if not, he still will not score in exams

I’m not expecting my DD1 to get 100marks. I will be happy if she’s in the 70 - 80 range. If she can score in the 90s range and is consistent, I will be in cloud 9 and let her do what she wants during the hols but her brain still need to work, be it for reading, excursion, etc.

I'm a truly KSP, plus 3 kids, so visit here way way early. DD1 is only P1 next yr 😉

Guessing you must be :yikes: but 3 kids very siong leh 😄 So I start early to learn about primary school science, then slowly impart the information to DD1.

For Science, understanding is more important than doing a lot of assessments. Science is very different from Math. This is my personal opinion.

I do agree with G Tan on the purpose of the Science assessment books.

From what I have learnt so far in the forum, it’s using the correct Science and English key words.

From your suggestion of finding a tutor, why can’t / aren’t the school teachers teaching it to the students? Then can save money.

Some school teachers are able to do that, but sad to say, some school teachers are not good science teachers!!!

Its not only using the science key words , it is also giving the answers that SEAB wants!
