      SAHM_TAN:
check hor, do mummies here conduct experiments with your kids to learn science?

I am not doing all the experiment that are stated in lower block.
My son prefer to do all those but i never let him to do.Lazy mom.
Sometimes they(kids) gave me more chores.
He has interest to see the changes like wanted to see how to do cake/cookies or even simple dishes. When he was in kindergarten I got a good book that stated simple experiments like water to ice.So I did with my son.
Now sometimes I surf in the net or has nap he has been doing experiments his own.Sometimes I got angry but can't show too much.I don't want discourage his interest.

Now for P3/4 we did bean growing as his T said its compulsory project. He asked us wanted to grow mould in bread.I didn't allow. He asked wanted to have a snail as a pet.We ban.We did inverted a container in the water. When I saw the qns,I quite didn't understand. So we did.
I heard from my son some of his classmates has snail and mealworm as pets.

I think before P3,u can expose more simple projects/experiments to make an interest in Science subject.JMHO.

          Hi BlurBee :hugs:
No worries, the Book A should be able to cover up to SA1for P3 😄 I remember I bought the Book B only in June Holiday this year or later :? :scratchhead:

:offtopic: I read in the Chinese newspaper 晚报 regarding the Times @ Tampines 1 that they have professionals there who are able to help to access the child's weakness in the subject and make the appropriate recommendation :please: But Tampines is soooooooooooooooooo farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr for me! 😢

            Morning Champion,

How do the professionals assess the academic weak areas of the child? Does the child need to take a test on the spot? Do they charge for this service? Is it only for a period of time? Do the professional assess all school levels? Thanks.
