I also love assessment books, maybe I don't have that during my schooldays. But the :moneyflies: pains me and seeing them not in use and left in the shelf pains me too!

      Good Morning Mychildren πŸ˜„
Can share your sentiment about seeing Assessment Books untouched or completed partially especially towards the end of the year πŸ˜‚ But, no worries for Science Assessment Books as you need to keep and use them till PSLE :imcool:

Science assessment books never enough bcos any topic not done can still be used as revision at P6. I asked my son to revise topics like 'magnets' or 'diversity' when he was in P5 last year. In fact, during the year end hols (Nov/Dec), we did practise quite a lot of lower block topics before school reopened...it was a good thing we did so.

        Janet,

        Champion,
Hi, some of the books not finished by the elder one will be passed to the younger one as their age gap is only one year difference. Some like Booster is like white elephant, not touch after finding it not useful in terms of preparing for tests or exams. Others like teachers@work process skills, answers are too long, don't think they are suitable to be use for my kids at this moment. This is my own personal views, others may find them useful. πŸ¦†

          Happyh,

For me, sometimes its hard to control to buy if I find the books are really good and useful. πŸ˜‰

I just hope that the authors and publishers don't just print out books for the sake of getting $$ but are responsible for what they have written or published.
If not, we parents need to spend a lot of time scanning through. Further, if answers provided are not accurate or correct, will mislead the students in answering the questions in the wrong way and inputting the wrong concepts in their mind. :frustrated:

Yes, true. I truly depend on the answer sheets to teach my DD. If the answer sheet is wrong in the way they are answering, then I will be in trouble. As pointed out by G Tan, Science Practice seems to be having quite a few number of confusing questions.

I have this science practice LOWER BLOCK book. Does it contains any confusing Qs as well? because both are from different authors. and I really wanted to know what are those Qs from Lower block? Can you please share it?
                Thank you.

                  Hi, ILoveChubby

I find that the EPH PSLE Ultimate Science guide is just good enough. It covers the lower and upper block. I've bought the ultimate lower block before this but since then have put the lower block aside. πŸ˜‚

Most important is that if your child has any doubts or misunderstandings in his school work, you can use this book to find the right answer and clear his misunderstanding. :scratchhead:

For p3, children may still be small to read by themselves, as parent just read through with them on the topics cover in school. Find this book useful. I do thanks the authors too. :grphug:

Seldom kids at p3 will pick up these books to read unless there is an adult to guide them. (So far, I knew of one girl at this age can pick up books and learn by herself. I was very impressed by this girl since her parents could not teach her at all but she can scored an average of 90 for all her four subjects. She has no tuition too. - sidetrack) πŸ†’

                        Dear Plum cake,

I don't have this book. But I have seen this in popular and I thought it is good to buy during June 20%. Now I will think twice; may be I will roughly get an idea before June from the current assessment books. Will take a look again on Science practice. Since you alreday have this book, you can browse thro' first. If one or two questions look confusing, you cross out those questions before passing to your daughter. Shouldn't be that bad. Don't worry.
