      Hi Champion,

I was recommended the books 2 years ago…flipped thru & din like it & neither did my kids (P2&P3) then. Later, I bought a few to try again, but they are sitting prettily at the bookshelf, so I stopped.

However, the friend who recommended the books told me her son in GEP P4 plus classmates all reading it. Another friend DD (GEP & loves science) loves it too. I gave her a set of 20 for her birthday last week & she devour 1-2 books a day during the holidays. I think those who like science seems to like it, my kids sadly dun. You can try getting from library. Popular sells but ex.

            Hi Mummies,

Read from the other thread, there is this recommendation on \"Horrible Science series\"
            http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=16765&start=1040

            I find this link
            http://www5.scholastic.co.uk/zone/book_horr-science.htm

            Any parents read this before?
Have the collection. Only for those who are keen on the subject, I say. Filled with a lot of little information that few people know much about.

DS1 will pick titles up from time to time....and he likes to test me on the quizzes to see how I do. It's a bit irritating when I'm trying to do other things like read papers etc. [bad mommy]

              Hi pixiedust,
Nice to hear from you too! Wow! Your boy started reading them since P2! :celebrate: Where did you get the set? Is it costly?

                Hi hquek,
Thanks for sharing :hugs: ...Ermm...from the few posts, realise usually are the DSs who are keen in reading the \"Scientific\" stuffs as compare with DDs. 😉 😉

I read a few pages of Horrible Science…the one with the ‘body parts’. That is interesting. Last year during BookFest, son bought a Horrible Science 2-in-1. Worth buy with 20% discount.

Few of my friends got together and ordered from scholastics uk. Can’t remember how much I paid, ordered together with murderous maths series (ds likes a lot too)…vaguely remember to be about $5 per book including shipping. However, that was years ago and the book cover designs are the previous generation.

                      Hi Janet-lee88,
Can get from Popular Bookstore? Think from today till Sunday, there is the 20% storewide discount rite?  Maybe, I can \"pop in\" to have a look tomorrow.

                        Hi Champion,
I've avoided walking into Popular twice this week. Looking at the assessment books on the shelves, I have to avoid that place. Hubby asked me if I wanted to go to Popular Bras Basah (70% discount) but I told him I'm scared  of seeing assessment books...at least not till end of the year.
