I bought this bowhold buddy, and I think it is only applicable for bigger kids. Ruth Brons herself admitted in her reply to my query that it's not for 3year olds. Can imagine ... \"ang moh\" kids must be much larger in size. So perhaps, it would suit our 5year olds or 6year olds onwards only?

Personally, I find it big for even me, and I'm in my mid-40s, even though I use a 7/8-violin, and not a 1/32 like my 2.5yo son. But then, I don't really need a bowhold buddy myself lah.

Phankao, can you please advise where did you buy this bowhold buddy from in Singapore? I am thinking of getting one. Thanks[/quote]buy online lah.

By the way, I just use a pencil grip. S$2+ for packet of 6 or 8.

The front grip is to guide the thumb placement, and the back grip near the screw is for the pinky finger. Personally I prefer to use only the back one to remind pinkie-placement. Easy to take off/on. The pencil grip fits my little one's slim small violin bow snugly.

I am thinking of having my son learn violin for fun after psle. He has not learn any musical instruments. I am planning to just let him learn for fun. I also want to put my 5 years old daughter to learn at the same time. Anyone can suggest a teacher who can come my place to teach my two kids individually. Thanks

Hi can anyone advice which will be best to start off violin for my 5yr old gal?

She does not have any musical background and this will be her first attempt with a music instrument. She did express interest in violin often so wonder should I just go ahead with a 1:1.

Can anyone recommend a good Suzuki violin teacher that does 1:1 teaching?

Music essentials takes in violins that were previously bought from them as \"trade-ins\". And the boss said that they then sell the violins as 2nd-hand. You can check with them?

What size do you need? I have a few violins thinking of letting go since my dd already out grew it. PM me if you are interested.

I did, but I gave up after awhile.
