The sights of the residents with the Chiams are really touching and real. They are like a big family. The difference in treatment to the new MP is obvious when he went on his rounds to thank the voters. They kept their distance or manage a weak wave. But I still cannot understand how come this did not translate into votes for them that led them to lose by 100+ votes. So obviously some residents did not share the same thoughts. So to me, I still feel that it's majority win.

Heard from a volunteer there that there had been new blocks of condo built there over last 5 years...

Was asking a friend whose hubby is in Aljunied grassroot. Who will they support now???? So they asked the chairman and it's WP. I wonder what happened to those people who are seeking the aljunied MPs for help for P1 registration. Fortunately, my friend is looking forward to seeing LTK and gang :boogie:

“Compare this to her other colleagues who were told to support the PAP during Nomination Day, and subsequently missing from office for the whole day, my girlfriend did not use working hours to support the Opposition, while those who did suppoting the PAP were not penalised. Is the residents’ money supposed to fund PAP’s electorial campaign? She is currently unemployed as a result of this morning’s happenings,” he wrote.

I think PAP will still have their own team in the area, working together with WP... just like PP last time right?

i get to know that the last election, he did some street lighting for the old people coz he want to pull votes. when he lost, the lightings were somehow spoilt and asked to repair, he said it is not his prob

My experience says... for the ppl living in private property they will be moved to GRC and those in HDB will be SMC... in my area also my condo is in GRC whereas the HDB block just away or rather across the road is SMC :scared:

i notice that too

LKVM, u stay ard Mountbatten/Kallang area? That side all the HDB ( a few blocks only are under SMC) & the condo are under GRC
