Next time, they shld just separate cabinet MP from GRC MP... perhaps the poll results would be different...

TPL promoted? Really ah? Any confirmed source?
Don't think the main media will report on this...
Then again... if staff is a MP... no reason why the boss shld not promote the staff... and get some \"leverage\" on the MP status?
In real life... who doesn't get ahead with some networking and knowing the right people? -

must logical would be to revert to single member constituency for the 87 members

if the candidate has a good policy and able to articulate it, convince the voter to vote for him/her
if the candidate has good policy but not able to communicate, what is the point ? the person he/she hires to implement may not be able to implement it accordingly since the candidate cannot communicate
so i find that communication skill and able to have sound policy is important.
to have someone in there with head knowledge but cannot implement it is useless.....
let each candidate stand on its own -
I do not understand on what basis some opposition parties are calling for by-election.
MM & SM are just leaving the cabinet, not the parliament. They continue to be MP of their respective GRC. -

Those calls reflect their immaturity -
For Marine Parade GRC, if it still remain the same GRC for GE 2016 and TPL still there, PAP will lose it
-
What are the chances of him not being the next FM? And if he doesn’t become, what does it means?
- Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Raymond Lim Siang Keat -

I think the Opp based on the probability of them winning Marine Parade if GCK were to announce his retirement from cabinet...

I don’t think they will dismantle the GRC system. Not yet anyway.
But I think they may strink the GRCs surrounding the vulnerable areas of the North-East ie. to 3 or at most 4 Ministers anchoring it. Because most vulnerable GRC likely to fall the next round.
As for those in the West-Central, unlikely to split because it is to the main incumbent’s advantage. Not sure about Tanjong Pagar though next round. It is now so huge but it is likely to split only into 2.
My main gut-feel and wild-guess!
