Iโve eaten a Korean beef stew thatโs really good too. Slightly sweet because they flavor it with fruits. havenโt tried cooking it though.

I just dump whatever's on hand with the stewing beef into the thermal pot.
I buy my frozen beef cubes from NTUC.
The must-have veggies are:
Onion,
Carrot,
Celery &
Potato
The amounts to put in is up to you, based on what's your favourite.
The depends on what's available veggies are:
Tomatoes
Brinjal
Mushroom
Again, it's up to you, based on what you like.
Then stew with liberal dashes of dried herbs like oregano, basil, pepper, cinnamon etc...
I brown the beef a little with olive oil, then throw in the chunks of potatoes to sear, then throw in everything else. I then pour in enough water to cover everything, and season with salt and a Knorr beef cube. For brown colour, I add dark soya.
Then once the pot boils to more than 5 minutes, I put it into the thermal pot and stew until the beef is done.
Serve with crusty bread... -
noblenerd, sounds yummy!

hi, thanks for sharing.................... :rahrah:
i think my problem is the sauce/gravy whatever you call it. i believe i must have added too much/little water each time because of the different vegetables used and didnt guage the water vol correctly.
also i think i will start playing with one or two spices mentioned.
