Also note that there will be a new chinese syllabus to replace the current one. A chinese teacher posted in one of the link says they undergo training since 2009 and her advice is that if enrichment or tutors had no such training, then it will be useless to sent kids there. Any comment on that?

I attended a talk organised by an enrichment centre about the changes. Though parents will feel better if they know the centre follows the MOE syllabus, I feel language is different from Science or Maths. If the child's language is good and creative, I think the child is able to adapt no matter how the syllabus changes. The fact remains, it is still about language competency and communication skills and HYPY. JMHO.
