I think there are a fair number of decent maids around but pple just tend to highlight the bad and rant about it but never really mention the good.

aiyoh. Yah I know, cannot take anything for granted.

My this maid, been with me for 6yrs now.

Am actually maidless now cos she went back to get married. Before she left she scrubbed my house from top to bottom and stocked up my daily necessities. She nagged at my kids to be more auto so that I won't be too stressed when she is not here. She insists that she will be back but I will not be surprise either if she changes her mind.

I did however tell her that when she comes back, it better not be plus 1.

wah Funz…trying to make me feel envious arh. But it’s positive that someone has struck toto and everything on the list. Yes, definitely good to know there are good helpers around (these I call helpers becos they really help, the cmi ones I call maids).

my maid wif me for 1 mth gave me a bomb tis am b4 i leave for work, she wants to go back to agent say my hse to tedious for her to work she said her computer spoil cannot work… after using my pillowcase, mess up my girls’ wardrobe n did not clean up my hse… she has an attitude problem she want us to follow her way instead of her following our ways despite me giving her chances wif loads of reminder till yday i cannot stand I shouted at her n tis am she gave me a bomb…how will d agent refund me d loan if tey could not get a replacement in time? Any1 got maid to transfer?

Good transfer maids are rare. Everyone agrees that choosing a maid is like tikam. I hope all is well at your house by now.

Not well tis maid is still wif me… last week raining she brought my girls to school without putting on the raincoat despite telling her so many times…now my girl down wif high fever… really piss off… when i’m aroun at home pretend to be so hardworking…when we r not at home in a daze…daydreaming slowly do the chores…agency promised to give me a new maid last week but disappointed now news yet…am still waiting patiently.

Now not many biodata available. It seems that many good ones went to HK and Taiwan. Recently just heard that Indonesia restricting their people from working only in certain countries. With so many negative news, guess getting a maid is not going to be easy in the near future.

anyone can advise how is employers protected against "runaway maid"? i had a maid who worked for me just 1 week, then just run to embassy 1 early morning, with the housekey dangling from the lock on the gate…

reason given by her to the embassy is that she wanted to change employer… that’s it… so now, she sitting at the agency waiting for new employer… what compensation can I get from the maid agency? other than a free replacement??
