DS came home and said that his CL Teacher had asked his whole class to hand up resources provided by their tuition teachers, for her to compile and give out to the class. If this does not show that MOE is lacking in materials and methods, then I dunno what does.

This reminds me of what my niece told me. Her teacher saw her drawing some Science concept maps, happily took it to reproduce for the whole class and thereafter kept asking her for more on other topics. Maybe some teachers don't realise that children do share with their parents what happens in school....

Hi Jesschan, ur niece's teacher should not do that! What she should do is to ask the whole class to draw their own & in this way they will learn more. The teacher should come up with her/his own map. By taking her student's work like this is really irresponsible!

Thanks for the suggestion. I probably have to work on adding sentences when I can find the time.

Nope my son is in P5 this year. Er what gave you the impression he completed PSLE? šŸ˜„ At his current standard, šŸ˜“ if he is doing PSLE.

Oh... We are in the same boat then... That's why you understand.

yes, i understand. But your son is way more committed than mine. Mine is still in lala land thinking that things will work out fine for him without hard work.

But mine is holding me to the promise I made to allow him to fail in Sec 1 (after PSLE)... so that he can spend one whole year CCA-ing. :nailbite: :nailbite: :nailbite: :nailbite: :nailbite: :nailbite:

A promise is a promise... I intend to bite my tongue and keep my promise. I also intend to get my professional life back on track when he is in Sec 1. After all, it's Sec 1 only mah... But you know what, when push comes to shove, I think my son will back off from allowing himself to fail.

We will see who blinks first in the face of failure... him or me. I'm determined it won't be me. Kekekekekekekeke!
