I received a sms that the 2012 top school prelim papers will be ready by next week. Will any parents be buying for their kids to do? At this point of time (exactly 4 weeks to go), should we just focus on areas they are weak at or continue to do practice papers? :scratchhead:

      2012 prelim??? :yikes:
That's fresh out from the oven !!
With just 4 weeks to go, I won't buy anymore.
Still have many sets of 2011 undone.

My dd has finished most of the 2011 prelim papers especially Maths & English. So I am hesitating should I buy more to add more load to her at this point of time. Sometimes, too much may backfire!

In such situations, I usually let ds2 do whatever he enjoys. I will ask him what he likes to do. Sometimes to the extent of allowing him to play with my handphone which he loves the most. No choice, have to close one eye. The objective is that he’s happy and does not disturb me.

My younger one is in P2. Hope she doesn't have any tests next month...then will ask parents to bring her out.

Can't let her have her way to play games or watch youtube all the time. But this month and the next, I have to close 2 eyes. Older one needs my attention.

That’s true, Janet. When there’s no help, at times had to close two eyes. Or else end up being too stressful which finally will boost our temper.

          Take care.

Now is not the time to load anymore.
I've taken a backseat...he knows what he wants. So right now, my job is to make sure he has sufficient rest.

My DD still has one last paper on Monday. According to her, the papers are tough, especially Maths, she leave 1 qn blank!!!! Though will feel that this prelim may demoralize her, it may also boost her at the same time to study harder for PSLE. Also good to tell her PSLE will never be always easy!

Really need to find ways to entertain my younger one...very very stressed. Problem is she is sticky to me, or I would have asked parents to look after her. Time to dig out some educational DVDs or CD rom. Thanks for your suggestion, mummy so kiasu.

I just close both eyes and let DS2 do whatever he wants. Watch TV and play. No time to look at his work until after PSLE.

My DD's class was asked to write a statement about what happened during PSLE MT Oral on Tuesday as some parents also feedback about the examiners being not professional, unfair, yawning ,etc. So the teacher asked the whole class to feedback from the moment they step in till they step out from the class.

My DD also complained about the MT oral examiner. As parents, what can we do?

It's just our luck if the some examiners are not professional enough. We can only feedback to the school, hope next time it will be better. “忘了 吧 ,还想它又有什么用”
